Hello everybody and welcome to learn Spanish with Salo. Are you motivated to study Spanish? That’s awesome!! But first let me give you a little piece of advice. When learning a new language, memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules in an isolated way is not the best idea. You will end up with your mind full of information but without the knowledge you need to start using it. This situation can lead us to feel frustrated, discouraged and we may decide to give up so soon. When memorizing words in a new language it’s very important to provide also the right context so that your learning process becomes practical and you can start using what you’re learning right away. ENTONCES, CUAL ES LA MEJOR FORMA DE APRENDER Y PRACTICAR ESPAÑOL? In my opinion CONVERSATIONS and STORIES are the key!!. I really want to help you improve your Spanish and that’s why I decided to create this new series of videos in which I’ll teach you Spanish through conversations and stories, you’ll listen to them first at a low speed, then I’ll explain to you some of the expressions and vocabulary used in it and finally you will listen to the dialogue at a normal speed, just like a native Spanish speaker. These simple but very useful dialogues can be used in everyday situations. They cover useful grammar, vocabulary, common expressions and sayings that you can start using in your next conversation! All 100% in Spanish with Spanish subtitles too so that you can start improving your pronunciation and listening skills.

If you are just starting to learn Spanish I recommend you to watch these videos too:

◾ More stories like this one

◾ The most basic phrases you need to start speaking Spanish

◾ How to ask for directions or indications in Spanish

◾ Practical phrases and questions to break the ice in a conversation

◾ Useful phrases and questions for tourists in a Spanish speaking country

◾ All my vocabulary videos

If you liked this video please give me a like, leave a comment and share on your social networks. I would appreciate it A LOT! :)

The year is 2023- It is November. I am teaching Spanish to Level 2 students in High School. This means 10th grade, 11th grade and 12th grade. I have been looking for something to use with these students to help them with their Spanish acquisition. As I watch your videos, I really like them. I think they are perfect for my high school students. I will start using them in January 2024. I love your videos and I am sooo happy you put them out there. I was looking for something that covered all 4 areas of Listening/Speaking/Reading and Writing. I sat through 20 different episodes and looked at all of them. They are perfect for my students. These are students who need to be "talking more in Spanish" and stop the mental translating before answering. I think your videos are just the thing I need to add to my "tool box of acquisition". Thank you again for putting them out here in the world. They are great!!!! Be blessed.

This is a great resource. May I suggest a transcript in English so that the learner can listen to the Spanish, read the English and then listen to the Spanish otra vez, with even more understanding. No doubt you have already considered this.

I have listened now at least a dozen to this video. I have found it incredibly useful for learning to express events in the past tense, as well as for learning important travel vocabulary. Thank you, Salo!

This video contains great content and teaches Spanish concepts with Spanish. I think the idea of this video is for you to think in the Spanish language and to not try to translate back and forth from Spanish to English. I love the plan, and am learning from this video. Muchas Gracias.

I don't see this as a beginners site, it probably is a big help, with sentence structure, once you know what the words are.

This video is for beginners. It puts you in a setting as if you were in a spanish speaking country. You learn by listening and reading just as you would if you were dropped in and spanish speaking country before you learn the language. Listen, read use google translate at some points and eventually you will start to pick up on sentence structure and verb conjugations, etc. Thanks for the video.
