I'm still baffled why Denuvo would have a discord....

Shoutouts to SRC267, JaaShooUhh, Vergil, RoyalDemon, jksTransRights!, Jeremy and Capy for the news tips!

I’ll sacrifice preload for No Denuvo any day

There are two types of people: Those who don't know about Denuvo, and those that hate it.

That Denuvo discord won't end well. Talk about being out of touch. I'm not sure what they were thinking making a public Discord.

Imagine 89, 000 years from now, someone drags a skeleton out of a building and just "you're free to go" lmao.

So people are upset Veilguard won't have preload when instead they should be celebrating that it won't have the performance impacting bloatware that is Denuvo? People are weird

That Denuvo discord can only end so well

The benefits of preloading are literal grains of sand compared to the negatives of having Denuvo. If that's the tradeoff then it's more than worth it.

Not having Denuvo in their game is a surprisingly good move by EA. The game looks kind of interesting and now without Denuvo there's a real chance I'll buy and play it. Probably after playing the other Dragon Age games first though.

We already have an N64 FPGA core available on MiSTer, thanks to Robert's outstanding efforts.

I bought one game with Denuvo in my life, just so I could try it for myself. I'll never buy another game with it. Plain and simple.

Just a correction for the Analogue guys: FPGA is emulation

Dragon age with no Denuvo, because they can blame piracy for the poor sales.

If he is a good citizen in prison, maybe they cut the time in half.

The Analog 3D looks neat. I remember hearing about that a while back.

There are many reasons as to why all these layoffs are happening, but the primary suspect for all of it could be that these companies experienced a ton of potential growth in 2020 and kept expecting year-over-year growth to the same level when everybody went back to doing what they do. Those expectations weren't met so now they have to start cutting costs and the easiest way to do so is by getting rid of all the people that you have to pay a wages for.

I am beyond psyched for the Pocket Pikachu. I got one, a PP2, off ebay when I was younger but unfortunately lost it. It was an incredible and fun piece of tech at the time, even if I was a little late to the party. I am totally building my own custom Pocket Pika now! Long live preservation!

From the few times I've pre-ordered something, preloading is usually more trouble than it's worth, sure you have the peace of mind that your game is already taking up "some" of your storage, but when it actually launches, it needs to decrypt all that data and it usually takes quite a bit of time and with today's internet speeds, it's pretty much the same time to download a game than to wait for it to decrypt and download last minute patches.
