Swatting is becoming an ISSUE... Again

Ludwig got swatted again.

The popular streamer was hosting a chess tournament on his channel when the LAPD entered his home, weapons drawn. This wasn’t the first time Lud was a victim of swatting either. He actually talked about his previous experience for the first time just 3 weeks ago.

Of course, Ludwig isn’t the only one this has happened to recently.

The fact that this is normal in the us baffles me like how fast people can know your address and "troll" you to getting in trouble with the police for no apparent reason/ just the lols of it.

The real issue in this is, especially in America, how lose the police is with their gun control, streamers have died because of swatting, that is not a joke. Imo there should be a procedure when someone gets called out again and again, stuff like an ID or anything that should be provided that in case of a clear troll that person can be taken to court

I feel like if you got swatted very often like in Xqc's case he could've just went to his local police station and informed them that he's streamers and if there's a crazy report about his house it's most likely a prank call and give them someone else's contact like his Moderators to call them if such report is filed about his location for confirmation.

This happened at my school this morning. Someone called 911 reporting a threat of a sch00l sh00t1ng at our school. It was said that two people got sh0t in a bathroom but none of this really happened. I was still on the bus on the way to school when we saw that a lot of police cars, a vehicle from the fire station, and an ambulance came to the school. The police even brought assault weapons with them. The bus driver went to another area that was further away from the school but even then, no one was allowed off of the bus unless an adult they know came to pick them up. Whoever wasn't picked up was taken back home on the bus we were already on. I was the only one sobbing on the bus for some reason. Everyone else was mostly calm other than yelling "what's happening?" and "what's going on?" One student (who happens to be my cousin) doesn't want to go to the school anymore. He wants to do online schooling from now on. This is why I don't like people who think "You know what would be a good idea? Calling 911 to report a nonexistent threat so the SWAT team/police go to the reported area and arrest innocent people! Let's traumatize people while we're at it!" Whoever pulls these stupid stunts needs serious help.

Nothing is more demoralizing than entertaining the thought of calling your local non-emergency number, telling them that you're a streamer and that someone make call with a fake swatting call

Every call should be treated as a possible swatting call until confirmed otherwise.

these prank swat calls, should be punished by it. You have to accuse them of possesion of very illegal stuff or dead bodies/murder, for a place to be swatted. There has to be consequences.
