Just tried this out on an inch steak. 60 seconds a side 5 minutes at 350F indirect heat. Best steak ever 🤤

How long is the wait between I start infrared burner and the time I can start grilling a steak?
Does this burner works separately from the rest of the grill?

Except 2min on each side on the sear zone is way too much, 1min and a half is enough (45 second per twist and at 1m30 flip, the 45 second per twist ). Even for a thick steak.

There are two height settings for the IR side burner (at least on my Rouge and above). I think if you are seeing too burner of a result, you should try the "high" setting: pull up on the grate, shift and place it into different set of holes. I didn't see it mentioned in the manual. But, if you look online, some say that "low" settings is for storage only. Maybe someone can clarify.

About to try the Sizzle Zone for rib steak that looks to be about an inch. The steak in this video looks thicker.

I came to see how to properly use the side burner. Looks like it's just for searing? My steaks always turned out better in the grill. Thin cuts may benefit from the side burner? but again, it's just not the same as cooking it in the grill.

What is "off" side of grill? turn one half of burners on and others off?

The cook on the OFF side of the grill... without telling anyone how long that OFF side was ON, and at what temperature. You should talk to your media team and ensure you're giving your customers a proper look at what you're doing.
