I'm so glad there's other people out there that do this. I found a small baby woodrat in my little fish pond which I did get out. I did bottle feed her till it was time to release her. Yes I got the same comments you did but I would do it all again. Thank you for caring for all beings.. no matter how small they all matter..

My hats off to this lady. Most people would have just flushed it.
After fighting in three wars I can’t kill anything and save as much as I can.
Converted my barn into a cat haven.
Have had families of skunks here. Saved a couple ducks. Lost count on squirrels, ground and tree types. But I still draw the line on spiders. I know they have a place on this earth and nature but not in my place.
Vietnam had some nasty jungle spiders and they still give me nightmares.
