Found these 4 used chainsaws at a estate sale for $100 and decided to see if we could make any of them run. Started with the Poulan 2375 Wild Thing and it really did not need a lot of work. Compression was great, so I knew I had something good to start working with..
Replaced the fuel lines, cleaned or checked the Walbro carburetor, replaced the primer bulb and she ran like a clock..

Cutting the ends of the fuel lines for the purpose of feeding them is a golden tip. Thanks for the video!

I have the same saw for many years, have cut many tree's with it over the years, I now have to put a new carburetor on it, it is know big deal, there are so many people out there say the wild thing is junk, my wild thing is been so good to me over the years, I would like to say one thing, wild thing, I think love you!

local shop said a carb is 20-30 dollars and they charge 95 an HOUR to work on these. Looking forward to fixing my wild thing ! It worked well when it ran.

Good video, have a saw this size a friend gave me they hadn't used in years. All the fuel lines crumbled and fell off. I was not sure how they were configured. Watched the video, saw runs like a champ. Thank you. 👍👋

I've been messing with the same saw. Good compression, good spark, threw new gaskets and a diaphragm in the carb, cleaned exhaust film, but no luck.

Wire from a long twist tie like what comes with trash bags is useful to feed line through to tank. Tightly wrap or tie twistie tie to fuel line. Then feed it through. Grab and pull with one hand while other hand feeds line through

Just subscribed. I have a couple wild things and several other plastic Poulans. Never use those never will. I was at a auction and there was brand new looking wild thing in the plastic case. It looked like it had never been used. Wouldnt run. They tried to get $50. No takers. Kept going down. Finally I yelled $5. The Auctioneer shouted SOLD! Quick get his number before he changes his mind. Its piled up in a school bus with 50 other POS plastic chain saw's

I'm actually boring this saw from a buddy today. It takes many pulls during and after priming, just to get it to start up. And you didn't even have to keep the choke on.

I fixed mine yesterday and the fuel filter was on the fatter of the hoses. If I could make a suggestion is to show the hose routing from the primer bulb to the carb. I know when I took mine apart my hoses were like this one all missing from the fuel.
