It's not a puzzle it's cheating

The main point is that Wood is not fixed. Otherwise it's impossible to remove the ring without breaking it.

There is a removable pin locking the two pieces of wood together. Spinning it throws the locking pin out of the hole and allows the joint to be separated so the ring can be removed. The joint used is known as a half-lap joint.

Centrifugal force isn't required. Just by tapping on the side aligned with the groove will do.

It's called cheating. Just like having a key hidden to a lock that has no key.

There is a dowel. Spin the ring and the centrifugal force pushes dowels back. Wood can then be separated and ring removed.

Centrifugal force has nothing to do with solving this puzzle. I don't even know why the guy brings it up
