Linda Thomas-Greenfield, US envoy to the United Nations, said that the US must defend ‘Israel’s right to defend themselves’ against Hamas rockets, when she was asked about the ‘double standard’ over Ukraine and Palestine.

UN charter of rights says that a country has the right to defend itself. It doesn't say that this applies to everyone but the Palestinians.
