What do you do if you don't have a process water source at home? Just purchase gallons of distilled water and rinse all materials that way? Seems like it'd be costly/a major potential waste of water.

Thanks for this video, so how would you ensure the product packaging is also free from contamination? Would you follow the same steps, how about a bottle though or anything with a small opening, it'd be almost impossible to get inside of it and clean dry?

How do you clean your cloth? And how do you clean your dish hanger and shelf?

Great video! Is reverse osmosis (used on good quality city water) or store-bought distilled water good enough for glassware rinsing? In cosmetic R&D lab I worked at we used DI water, but I see small labs using reverse osmosis or distilled water, due to cost. Thanks!

Hi Belinda, I want to go back to school to be a chemist and work in cosmetics. But there is a lot of math required. Do you have any thoughts on how to get through all of the math to get to the fun science stuff?

Should we prep the hypochlorite step with hot or cold water? Also, we got trace chloroform, is there anything we can do to avoid that?

Oh no, I have been doing it wrong. I wash with hot soapy water, rinse well, then I spray all my equipment with 70% isopropyl alcohol and then I allow to air dry, then used gloved hands to put my equipment into containers or bags that have been cleaned with alcohol, and then the bags or containers are closed and put into the cabinet with doors. I use a makeup brush acrylic container with a lid to store all my utensils.

When I need to wipe something down after its been sprayed I use kim wipes, the lint free lab wipe paper. I assumed a cloth towel wouldn't be sterile enough and could leave lint behind.
