Important context: in an earlier scene Mako gives Korra his opinion on a problem shes having, and she gets angry. So this time he just tries to be supportive but not overbearing, and she still gets angry.

I love this scene. Maybe there's some gray area before, but at this point you understand Korra is the problem. Mako is caring and communicating, meeting her way more than halfway, and Korra is taking him hella for granted. If you ask someone what they want, and they blow up on you because you didn't read their mind, you're probably playing a no-win game.

Honestly, I didn't know 'Mako-hate' was a thing until I went into the fandom forums. And I kinda side with Mako in B2, Korra was being unreasonable cranky and pouring it out on Mako and when Mako tries, it never seem to be good enough. Even when Asami kissed Mako during their on a break period. That wasn't his fault at the slightest.

99% of any hate Korra gets is solely because of how this season mangled her character for several episodes straight
