Many people seem to confuse carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. For those that don't know the difference, here's a quick explaination:

Carbon dioxide, whose chemical formula is CO², is a greenhouse gas, and it is the most commonly released on the atmosphere by humans. As a greenhouse gas, it's excessive release on the atmosphere causes global warming, which could have destructive results.
Carbon monoxide, whose chemical formula is CO, is NOT a greenhouse gas. It is a gas that, combined to hemoglobin (blood protein), makes carboxyhemoglobin. And, as you can imagine, that lowers the amount of actual hemoglobins, which are responsable to bring oxygen to the body cells, and that causes cells to slowly die due to not having a constant oxygen supply, leading to death, thus, classifing carbon monoxide as poisonous.

The confusion might happen because they are both released upon fire, and people are told that fire smoke is formed mostly by carbon dioxide and that smoke can kill you if you inhale it (both of which can be correct depending on the scenario. Smoke may contain carbon dioxide and have no risk to life, or may not contain carbon dioxide and be dangerous to inhale). Truth is, carbon monoxide is only released upon burning certain petroleum derivats improperly, or during house fires (though it technically falls under the category of "improperly burning a petroleum derivate")

- The fact that the bag is just a regular looking burlap sack
