Scaling Up: Developing and Agricultural Business Plan

Need to develop a business plan for your agricultural business? This webinar is a part of our series of “Scaling Up” trainings discussing agricultural production tools and economic forecast models to help build strong Tribal food businesses and food systems throughout Indian Country.

The focus of this webinar is developing a business plan for your agricultural operation or food business using AgPlan, a free, interactive tool designed by the Center for Farm Financial Management at the University of Minnesota. This online program provides customized assistance to new and existing entrepreneurs in developing business plans formatted to the various areas of the agriculture sector. Each business type has an outline designed specifically for that particular type of business, tips or questions that help the user develop each section of the plan, sample business plans, and links to additional resources for each section of the plan.

The Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative's “Scaling Up” trainings are a regularly recurring webinar and in-person project dedicated to providing a comprehensive set of business planning and feasibility analysis training modules for Tribal governments and Tribal food businesses.
