The show is The Serpent Queen. Catherine de Medici, Italian noblewoman and Queen of France. She was the wife of King Henry II of the Valois dynasty and the mother of three subsequent kings, and made a huge impact in 16th century France. Identified as a bland, insignificant foreigner, Catherine was orphaned and married into the French court at the age of 14, expected to bring in a large dowry and produce many heirs, only to find out that her husband had fallen in love with an older woman, that the dowry had not been paid, and that she herself had not been able to produce children. However, through sheer ingenuity and determination alone, she managed to keep her marriage together and, better than anyone else, got to the heart of the monarchy and ruled France for 50 years.

I am going to go on a tangent here: Looking for a 'guilty party' sounds like most organizations I have worked for. Manages sound like the king: "I don't care what the person that knows the process said!!" Always looking for someone to accuse when something happens. And you can tell it is just emotional blaming, because I do not recall anyone ever saying "hey, I would like to participate in whatever we do to prevent this from happening again'. Nope. Because blaming is easy. Looking for solutions takes, the curse word: WORK.
And I am not badmouthing my current job. I think this is more prevalent as every manager nowadays believes he will be CEO someday, don't let him be late for the coronation. : ))
