Simple Cockroft-Walton voltage doubler

Показать описание
Demo of a Cockroft-Walton voltage doubler. These are one of many ways to double current with losses occurring at each stage a voltage drop occurs in the diodes. Voltage is multiplied although at the expense of current.
*NOTE: Cockroft-Walton stages are a quick way to double voltage to a point but keep in mind that as you add stages, power drops considerably and you will quickly reach a point of diminishing returns where the power at the output could be equal to or less than what your multiplier's input is. Voltage multipliers aren't magical and losses in higher stages accrue quickly.
