My brother here in Ireland 🇮🇪 is a qanon conspiracy theorist. I had to break contact with him as I couldn't listen to him shouting his beliefs at me and telling me how stupid I am because I didn't agree. I read around the subject as I think these people are not well. Some people describe it as a disassociative disorder, like being out of touch with reality only not a full blown psychosis. I think that describes these people.
