Carl describes Savage Worlds action economy (what a character can do and how often during their turn) and how to leverage multiple actions with minimal penalties. He also compares it briefly to Dungeons and Dragons economy for players and gamemasters familiar with that game.

Your instincts are correct regarding higher die steps. With a d10 or d12 in your skill you should generally take MORE actions, not fewer.

EG- If you have a d12 in shooting, EACH TIME you roll you have a 23% chance of acing one of your die (the d6 or the d12), and your chance of rolling at least a 6 is 65%; and your chance of rolling an 8 or higher is above 42%.

Assuming no additional negative modifiers beyond the multi-action penalties, with a d12 + d6 roll your chances to hit/succeed are as follows:

1st action: your chance of rolling a 4 is 88%
2nd action: your chance of rolling a 6 is 65%
3rd action: your chance of rolling an 8 is >42%

Also, if you roll that d12 skill three times in one round, your chance of acing the d12 is about 23%. Even with every negative modifier under the sun, your chance of rolling a 13 or higher is 23% if you make three attempts. So why not fire away?

Hi there. Keep up with the good work and interesting videos. Savage Worlds is a great system!

Gangup is great for multi-actions too. As well as having your target Vulnerable (set up by a teammate using Tests). Oh and drawing a Joker, you nearly always go with two actions if you got a Joker out.
Basically, every way to get a +2 to your attack can balance the -2 from double action.

Rerolls aren't bad either. The odds of a Reroll as nearly the same as the odds to get a +2. So you could take two Athletics Tests and count on Acrobat to get your odds up despite the -2 from Multi-Action. Same with Support actions and Reliable or Charismatic (or both!).

Then you have those "do two things as one action" Edges like Frenzy you mentioned and Work the Room for Support.

May I ask for a volume increase?
Much love, thank you for supporting such an uniquely awesome game!

Thanks for the work you do with your videos. I'm a D&D DM and I'm slowly switching to SWADE. Is there a chance in the future to do a short to the point videos about running Dramatic Tasks on a vtt?

I know this is an old video, but I have a question. Do allies get all the actions a wild card gets. I have a PC with a guard dog. I have him the wolf Stat sheet and I know it will go on the players turn with the player controlling him. But what can he do? Just move and attack? Wild attack? Multi action?

Can you wild attack while doing a multi action? if so is it then just essentially a -2 for each attack roll?

Small thing - might be best to put your teleprompter near the camera instead of off to the side.

Interesting video but you lost me when you said that you don't know mathematics. I feel like a discussion of odds is a must with such a subject and it requires only basic math. In general (most situations) despite the negative mod multi actions are on average better choice regardless of the trait die type as they let you do more stuff (so more can succeed).
