580HP Amazon Van Swapped Mustang is Shockingly Impressive

It's not too often when the engine swap of your dreams literally falls out of the sky...from a Tornado. This Amazon Prime Van engine went through a tornado, and then ended up inside my buddy Trevor's S550 Mustang. The 7.3L Godzilla V8 is gaining a lot more hype - but is it really that great? Let's talk about it.

So we went from a Camaro RS swapped Silverado motor to an ecoboost mustang swapped Godzilla motor, how fitting.

when I saw "amazon van swapped" I was expecting the little 4cyl from the transit with a big ass turbo, I had no idea they put the 7.3 in vans and that amazon bought them. also hell yea Colorado native! I've seen that car before!

People involved in the automotive scene these days often forget that one of the most popular things to do in the Hot Rod scene during it's formative years was to swap a truck motor into a car! This concept is at the very core of Hot Rodding culture, and it's so cool to see it making a comeback!

Yes, one could argue that the LS swaps brought it back first, but LS swaps really only started happening after GM had already been putting LS motors in cars from the factory, and people realized that the variants in the truck's were very similar and easy to convert over to the car variants, whereas in this case, Ford has yet to put a 7.3 Godzilla in anything but the Super Duty trucks and apparently the Econoline vans (which is news to me, too), so in a way... this IS the resurgence of that concept!

It's really cool to see David getting to experience the same thing (although to a much higher degree thanks to modern technology) that our Hot-Rodding Forefathers got to experience nearly a century ago!

I'm sure there probably were other motor swaps throughout history that were common like the LS and Coyote Swaps (like the OG 302 swap) but I'm not super familiar with them, myself. Feel free to let me know, if you are particularly educated in that area of history!

That 7.3L had to come out of one of the F59 based Vans. Most Amazon vans around here are the Transit based version which gets a 3.5l V6 so that’s what I expected when I click on this. The 7.3L is a beast.

Honestly should make a new mach 1 with this engine making say 550hp and 500 tq... would be a SWEET middle ground and a honest to God cruiser!

What shocks me the most is there was an engine like that in a Amazon Van!

I figured a normal, boring, eco-friendly engine would be in all Amazon delivery vans.

Most ford prime vans either have a cyclone or 3.5 ecoboost on the dually transit chassis. This came from a step van which you don’t see amazon use that much because they require more certification than the transit vans.

I first found out about the 7.3 Godzilla from Cleetus's channel when it was McFlurry's first motor. I always thought it was a special crate motor. I had no idea these things were put into Amazon vans of all vehicles! I didn't even know it could fit in there!
