Fantastic work. Reminds me of a time just after my dad passed away...probably my lowest point in life, as my dad was my biggest supporter. I remember just wanting time to stop, to figure out the way forward, to figure out the new normal. First thing I remember doing was praying...and after that, there was some leftover boneless chicken breasts in the fridge from what my dad had cooked just the day before (the part that, well, he didn't cook). I didn't really cook all that much then, but I gave it a try, in the same method that I saw him cook (still remember hearing his voice clear as day tell me to use 3 eggs to dip the chicken in before breading it)...sure enough, it came out spot on accurate. I suppose in a way it reminded me that though people aren't always going to be there, everything works out in the end...even if the pain never truly heals, you grow around and from the pain.
