The bit about his legacy living on in the Shadow Isles is inaccurate. IIRC he currently resides within Mitna Ochnun. A sort of pocket dimension, a limbo, between life and oblivion. It is where he found himself during his first death and its where he would send all future souls from his conquests. Also, I believe Mordekaiser believes the Shadow Isles to be a mockery of his realm. Which makes sense since his second resurrection came after the Shattering of the Blessed Isles, which would become the Shadow Isles.
