Kale is a cool weather crop. Plant kale in Fall or Spring. Kale seeds germinate in 5 to 7 days. Plant spacing should be 18 inches apart and row spacing 18 inches to 2 feet apart. You can harvest Kale throughout it's growing cycle. Sautee kale leaves, make kale chips, or add kale to your salad and enjoy!

Did you know that when the plant goes to flower, after collecting the seeds you can cut it off at the base and it will re-grow for take 2! :)

I love kale. It’s good in salads and cooked and chopped and added to stews. I juice with it too.

I use the egg shell method. Works great! Thanks for the kale tip. Maybe I’ll have better luck this year

Great tips! I remove the stem from the leaves that I harvest and then freeze them. I sprinkle some over my salad every now and then because when they freeze, they crumble easily and the taste is not strong.
