While I usually love TIA portal, this is where Rockwell has them beat. In Rockwell, I could apply at least visibility and movement options to an entire group. In TIA Portal as far as I can tell, creating a group is nothing more than organization. In FactoryTalk, I could create simple logic states that would satisfy each animation/event, doing this I could evaluate several different tags and conditions at the same in order to animate them. In TIA Portal, they generally only allow for 1 process variable meaning I need to either program all the tags and logic in the PLC, or have a comfort panel to run scripts.
