Fridge Door Won't Close Itself ● Easy Fix !

This is the easiest way to level your fridge to get the door to close by its self. There is nothing worse that a fridge door that doesn't self close. The reason it doesn't self close is because the fridge needs to be adjusted to tilt slightly towards the rear. You can adjust the fridge door to close fast or you can adjust the fridge door to close slow by turning the front adjuster legs.

This was the coolest hack - the bottle and tire valve worked great for this 70 year old woman!!! Local bike shop was glad to donate valve stem from old tubes they were going to get rid of. Didn't have hand tire pump, but compressor worked fine! Thanks!

Maybe if you connected a Jet Engine to a hot air balloon outside your house, , and used heavy gauge steel connected to the hot air ballon and ran it down your chimney and connected that to a scaffolding attached to the fridge, then when the hot air ballon rises so will the fridge!. (or you could just push the top of the fridge to raise the front). Both methods work! ; )

Instead of spending $10 and ruining a good bicycle tube, this can be done simply by using a pry bar and a block of wood

I made one for each side now my bike has two flat tires. BooHoo

I used a 1 litre bottle to lift my whole house to work on the foundation.

An angled pry bar would've saved a whole lot of time without having to watch an episode of MacGyver.

Wouldn't it be easier to use 2 pieces of wood and lever it up a few inches? Sit on the lever while you screw the foot. Or just have another person put their foot on it

The adjusters on a fridge or freezer are their to level the fridge on an uneven floor to stop the fridge from rocking.
If you use the leg adjusters to lean the fridge back enough to close the door, the fridge will not be level.

On the top of the fridge motor assembly there is a tank that catches and disperses any defrosted water, if the fridge is not level, this could overflow causing major problems

I simply pumped up the inner tube. Saved a lot of work and time.

Crowbar works pretty good too. Just pry up on the bracket that holds the threaded foot

Waaay too much trouble when a pry bar does a much easier, and better job.

It really works. Thanks 👍👍👍
I bought a Bosch refrigerator less a month ago.
From day one, the right door just can't stay open and always swing back but not close.
Called Bosch and had the technician came by to fix it.
The technician spent Two whole hours there, tried to level it, took down the door to replace the door hinge and still couldn't fix the problem.
At the end, the technician said it was not a problem and I should e with it.
What a crap.
(I was thinking if it was not a problem, why bother to setup the service call and spent TWO hours working on it).
I figured to try your solution rather than have them come back to fix it again. I really don't have faith on them.
Anyway, long story short, I tried it out this morning and was able to level it perfectly. The door now open will stay still.
Thank you. Thank you.

A prybar using a block of wood or anything solid creating a fulcrum close to the fridge is much more practical. The video would be super for a junior high science class though.

This is way too much hassle; just put a wooden wedge under it. HOWEVER, it is such a cool and ingenious hack, that I'm going to go find an innertube and bike pump and do it Chris' way. Thanks.
