Editing Journey:

Creating Creed 4 dream trailer was a good experience since I’m a big fan of the Rocky franchise. The main idea I came up with was bringing Zendaya into the franchise as Creed’s daughter learning to do boxing like her father. I think she would be the perfect choice since Zendaya is currently popular. I was fortunate to find clips of her doing boxing so it worked naturally. The second idea was to put Rocky Balbo’s character to rest. I made this clear by showing Creed talking to Rocky’s tombstone (which I edited). I used the clip from the ending of Creed 2 instead of talking to his dad it will be Rocky. “If something that speaks to you just jump for it” line from Michael B Jordan I used to build to connect the line “ I did it” as if Creed was talking about that being the advice from Rocky.

One main idea I heard from an article is to see Rocky Jr vs Creed for the fourth installment. I thought this was brilliant. This is the only way I can think of topping the 3rd film and could match the hype compare to Rocky IV. This storyline would be great because it would go full circle, like history repeating itself of Rocky vs Creed all over again. The challenge was looking for clips for the actor that play Rocky Jr, Milo Ventimiglia. Since I could not find clips of him doing boxing I simply used clips from Southpaw film to make it look like him. But that didn’t stop me from bringing this concept to life. “If he can do it, I can do it” line from Michal B interview talking about the director I made it about Creed talking about Rocky Jr saying if he’s father can do it he can do it.
