Kang came to fix the timeline where Killmonger didn't die and had a kid with Valkerie, while Starhawk is away in space still mourning Yondu's death.

I'm so glad they didn't go down the offspring of Rocky's past opponents' storyline, it only made sense in Creed 2 because of the connection to his father and wanting to avenge him. Now the character Adonis can be its own thing separate from the Rocky legacy and be its own legacy by finding different opponents that's not attached to Rocky for Adonis to overcome.
