The far-right populist AfD party wants to take over state parliaments and political offices across Germany. The next stop on their agenda is winning the mayoral election in Nordhausen, Thuringia. Don't other parties and civil society have a plan to counter the rise of far-right populism?

Why is it that popular opinions "must be countered" by all sorts of initiatives designed to control how people vote and what ideology they subscribe to?
How about simply addressing and dealing with some of the core issues and concerns that the far right, and by extension, a large amount of the population have been raising? If democracy is supposed to work, you can´t simply dismiss the opinion of 1/3 of the population, no matter how much you may personally disagree with it.

I have a plan: acknowledge and try to solve the issuess of the common people and they won't have to vote for AfD.

Its paradoxical for the Green representative not realizing the amount of harm they´ve done to the nation. They JUST DONT SEE THAT. They are talking of having a blueprint for the society as a whole. And THAT might be the problem. Voters don't fall for that any longer
