Todd, once again Thank You and your crew for creating these training videos. As Interpreter of my High School Bd, many times I use these videos / plays during our weekly meetings and especially in the off season while training new candidates. As for the foul regarding the free kick and the late out of bounds hit, I see your point but above all we can not miss this type of foul and something has to be called. The play has provided some lively conversation within the group.

In play #1 I would be talking to #2 and #21 for the facemask that he committed against #2 at video clip 1:55 thru 1:57

you missed the blind side hit at 17 yards line.

The LJ on the first three kick offs should not be "floating" downfield. Must keep a cushion with the official on his side in case the runner breaks free and he has to race a 15-18 year old kid to the goal line. Most officials can't do that, anymore.

On play #2, late hit, there is no way I am going to throw a flag from 53 yards away when a fellow official is right on top of the play. If I have any faith in my fellow wing at all, I am going to assume he saw the play better than I did and I will defer to him. I sure would not want him doing that to me. I had a U throw a flag from maybe 30 yards away for something that happened right in front of me that was not a foul. I was not happy with the U at all. Wound up never working with him again, and was glad.

Disagree with calling #2 USC. If you want to deem it flagrant and eject so be it but otherwise you are going into MSU mode. This is not something we want to be teaching newer officials who tend to mix these fouls up anyway.
