The setup was much longer than that. It was actually a nod to X-Men 2, when he's leaving the mansion with a bunch of the kids to get them to safety. Pyro says, "We need some tunes" and turns on the car radio. "Bye Bye Bye" was playing and Wolverine immediately shuts it off, saying he hates that song. Why do you think he dances to the song near Logan's grave...??

Its also because in one of the old xmen movies, to lighten the mood, one of the xmen plays the exact nsinc song in a car hugh jackman wolverine is driving and it pisses him off since he hates it.
