My bachelor list (apartment):
- Daily Toiletries
- 2x Shower Towels
- Bathroom mat (to prevent slipping and wet floor)
- Door mat (for the rainy days and dirty shoes)
- Table cloths (to clean spills and general cleanup)
- Dish washing liquid
- Washing powder (for clothes)
- Dish rack
- 2 to 4 plates
- 2 to 4 mugs/cups
- 2 to 4 short glasses (never get tall glass)
- wine/champaign glasses 😉
- set of spoons/forks/butter knives
- sharp kitchen knives
- spatula / stirring spoon
- small pot
- small pan
- chopping board
- sauces & spices for your food
- Broomstick (gotta keep it clean)
- Microwave (a must)
- Fridge
- Washing Machine (gotta have dem clean clothes)
- Cloths dry rack
- Your bed
- Office Desk
- Office/gaming Chair
- 2 to 4 camping chairs (for your guests)
- Bicycle
- Laptop/Computer
- some "protection"

Lounge suites are a "nice to have". You can always just whip out your camping chairs for your visitors.
Flatscreen TV's and Dining Tables are also a "nice to have" along with cars.
You can always just watch things on your phone or computer and you can always just eat on the kitchen counter, desk or bed. There is also public transportation like Uber. These items can always come in later through your bachelor life.

Oh and dont forget the wine😉

When I first moved out it was the little things I didn’t think of that screwed me like garbage bags, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, soap and shampoo, paper towels, hand towels and shower towels, pots pans plates cups and forks and knives. Cause at home they were just always there lol

Good video.. I’d say another tip is to ask family members for furnishings.. I asked my folk and they all had something they were willing to pass down to a good home.. I have a fully furnished apartment and it didn’t cost me nothing besides my sweat and back!! Good luck guys!!

One of the most lowkey first moving-in tips I ever came across. Keep creating good content.

I’m actually moving into a house that bought and I’m almost done renovating. I have to continue living with my parents in the meantime until I’m done getting my first house all fixed up and looking nice. I never lived in a apartment and never will but I’m watching this video anyway because most of the same things would apply to a house as well.

Thank you for your videos. My younger brother is a single dad and he lives over an hour away. He’s doing the best he can with what he has. I ordered him some books but he prefers to watch YouTube of course. So do I! All the other channels were obviously more directed towards young girls and I appreciate your channel for being directed towards boys. It’s pretty obvious you know who you’re serving. I sure hope she watches these but I thought y’all should know you’re doing something good. It’s hard starting your life especially when you’ve got someone else already looking up to you, so I’m glad to have this resource to send him.

I’m glad that I was raised in a good home and don’t feel the need to move out asap. But my plan is to buy some land and put a mobile home on the land and live there until I can build a house.

I really would love to see a video of YouTube when you first moved out into your very first apartment how you two started out what you brought with you when you left wherever you were living at.
And how much money that you started out with.
Did you DIY your own products since you two were probably financial budget or maybe you didn't have any money at all to buy anything so you had to.
How do you find the products that you needed for your new place if you didn't have no money at all.
What did you use to furnish your apartment or House or wherever you we're leaving at at the time.
Please do a video of your life when you was growing up if possible on how you was living in your very first place the both of you do two separate videos.
So everyone can see your life when you was growing up on your own.
I know this video is going to be lengthy and maybe impossible but please give it at most try on coming out with a video like this.
I think all your followers would love to see a video like this especially the poor people and no budget people.
maybe even the people that loves DIY or utilizing the products they already have.
You just might give everyone some knowledge and courage to try new things with the products they already have around their homes.
Buy each and every one of us seeing what you can do in this kind of video could help us out a lot give each and every one of us some experience maybe some courage and some knowledge on things that we could do with products around our home by seeing it from you.
Please I asked for the two of you to do your best to produce a video like this for all of us.
Each and every one of us that watches your channel keeps your channel going strong can you follow and listen to what your followers ask of you Daniel channel is going going to grow and grow and grow and you going to be more popular on here by listening to the comments on each comment someone post on here.
I know my comment on here is a lot to ask from you too but hopefully you guys can get this to come true for all of us that is watching your YouTube channel.
especially all the people that are just moving out into the new places on their own and they don't know where to start at least they have a video watched and get some courage and inspiration from You two.

Luckily I just scored my own place (haven't moved in yet), sadly it is because my grandmother died (it was a relief, she had dementia!)...still: NO RENT :)
So it is very affordable, only need to pay the regular bills!
It's my aunt's former apartment (she's moving into grandma's apartment on the ground floor!), so I am currently busy renovating (painting, removing stuff I don't want or need (most of the stuff is moved downstairs), throwing out old carpet (I prefer the wooden floors underneath, I hate carpet!), drilling holes for my network-cables etc. etc.)...so yeah, hit mit with ideas that I might implement at my new place :)

Very helpful video, this is exactly what I asked for when I recommended in your last community post. This will be very useful for when I move out. Keep up the great work, I will stay tuned for all of your videos.

Im in my 20s and have been with family for a long time. I might be moving out soon (need to do a walkthrough of an apartment still) and hardly any videos exist for this content. A few things on the list I am leaving in my room at my family’s place for when I come back (namely the major furniture/bed) simce Im planning to use an air mattress. Definitely will be going over this list though for things to add to my list besides what I already have planned
