This color is actually really nice.... I mean I am no sneakerhead but i actually like the colour, it's great, will match almost any casual outfit. Strange that people don't seem to like them.

I think it's misinformation because these are actual QUALITY, but the average person doesn't know it. The blacks are actually Denim twill, letting these retain the original shape longer than leather (plus making them crease-proof) then the Leather isn't "tan colored" it's Vachetta which is untreated leather, meaning no plastic coating or faux material. They also came out around the time the taxis release and were only available at NBHD stores in the US so there's is that, too.

I copped these the day after they released! The fact that they were only sold in boutiques (only 2 in Michigan) is what made me go after 'em. They are a nice pair. I knew I would be sick if I passed on these.

That’s like A grade leather way better than cheap stuff used on regular Jordan’s, you have to clean them using real leather cleaner and spot clean denim, over time they will crease perfectly to your foot like a high end leather boot or a good pair of loafers

To me they look like an AJ1 version of a Timberland boot, with that leather, which sounds great for fall !

First off, these aren’t yellow. So comparisons with the Pollens or Taxis just make you look colour blind. Also, if you google Vachetta leather, you’ll see it’s the same stuff used by Louis Vuitton on their bag handles and are supposed to age and will get darker over time. Combine that with the reduced creasing from the black canvas and this is an amazing shoe which anyone who knows anything about sneakers should be lapping up. No idea why people aren’t all over it given the materials and colour blocking.

I think this colorway is nice. However, based from experience, vachetta leather is high maintenance, like the ones used with Louis Vuitton monograms. You can't get vachetta wet, else risk water stains. You can't expose it to too much heat, else the leather will crack. That's why some ladies cover handles of their vachetta leather bags, to prevent it from darkening unevenly and from water stains. Personally, I just want to wear my shoes in the sun, in the rain, and not have to worry about the vachetta being ruined. 🙂

I don't think people know what veg-tanned vachetta leather is. I think that's why they're sitting. I know what vachetta is, so I copped a pair. I can't wait to see how they patina over time.

Boutique only in the US, so unless you live in a major city, your stuck with resale apps, and they aren’t worth the mark up albeit modest
