When you added the distilled water to the separatory funnel it was SO satisfying to see you shake it around to actually wash the distillate. I've seen water washings in chemical synth videos where they just pour it in and separate the layers, ugh.

Ethyl acetate is slightly soluble in water dont u think water washings would decrease its yield. I think we should wash it with saturated sodium chloride so as to remove ethanol and it shouldnt dissolve ethyl acetate

Good video but you made a mistake when you mixed ethyl acetate with water it decomposed to acetic acid and ethanol.
