Thanks for the Info....BUT... where I go to double click on the + symbol mentioned at 04:48 of this video I get nothing. When I attempt to drag and drop to the bottom... I get a bunch of VALUE errors or $0.00. - Using Excel 2010. What could be wrong here?

@frozenbirdseed You can put an additional payment column anywhere in the spreadsheet. Any additional payments towards the loan are directly applied to the principle balance. If your regular monthly payment is $300, but you decide to send in $350 then the additional $50 is applied to the principal balance.

I need to add an 'additional payment' column, where there can be random payment amounts added. This would obviously need to be reflected in the Principal Balance column, how would I go about doing this?

Hello. I am having trouble calculating the monthly payment on the amortization table on excel. When I input the information necessary such as interest rate, nper, and present value the answer shows up as "#value" and shows error instead of an actual numeric value. What am I doing wrong?

just make the cell bigger. double click in between the letter of the cell you want to enlarge and the one to the right of it.

why do you press the f4 key? also after 45 months and 60 months i got multiple pound signs in the cum. int. cells and cum. prin. cells respectively, why did this happen? thank you
