Drinking water is a basic need. They could have gotten emergency supplies brought in; other places have.

Water is a basic need that should never be used as a tool to assert power. They could of gotten bottle water for crying out loud.

I've never been in trouble or to jail, but treating ppl humanely regardless of their status isn't difficult. They had no choice, but to be enclosed with that sewage. The guards should have to spend the same amount of time in those same conditions as punishment. Js. 🤷‍♀️
