I'm 51 yrs old and just now learning to sing harmony. I practice the tenor or baritone parts at home then revert right back to melody, or in unison at a lower octive, as soon as worship rehearsal begins. I love how you connected harmonies to service and humility. I'm even more motivated to learn after hearing that.

Hearing you now v. an older video I just watched, I noticed even your speaking voice changed with your weight loss. I'm a big girl, how or why does weight loss change the sound of our voice. And how does that change how we sing and how do accommodate it?

All throughout high-school and after I sang soprano but for the Easter Cantata this year I am singing alto. There's a lot of harmony and I have a hard time transitioning away from harmony and back to singing melody

I struggle with singing harmony when I'm using in-ear monitors. I can sing harmonies confidently in the congregation and acoustic settings and along with the radio, but somehow when I'm hooked up to the sound system, I feel lost. Do you have any tips for that? I don't know exactly what the problem is. Maybe it has to due with latency? My last worship leading was cringe worthy😮‍💨 I have to figure this out!
