2017 BMW S 1000 RR on the JHS Racing​ dyno! The next Euro4 bike we're showing off here in our build up to SBOTY has been the most powerful proddy bike for years, but how does the usually rampant S Thou' fare now?

I'm not sure what's more amazing - that we have reached a point where we consider 178bhp to be a disappointing figure (we really are spoiled these days aren't we!), or that 27C and 45% is considered to be really hot and humid lol

It will be interesting to see the new Gsxr 1k and this bike with full exhaust system installed.. Both will do nearly 200 hp at the rear wheel..

My 2017 rr was 186 standard 194 with full race arkapovic system and bmc air filter
200hp with rapid bike racing fuel management system and custom map on Dyno.
Will squeeze bit more hopefully with IAT re location

BMW dealers have been selling this bike under the pretence the 2017 model has not lost any power over the 2016. Interestingly, the Brentune Dyno result claims the 2017 has more power and torque than the 2015 model! Either way, mine still scares the piss out of me.

S1000rr crazy to think the previous gen was even more powerful. How did the GSXR smash the speed tests in MCN shootout when the S1000rr is putting out better numbers?

Way late on this, but the big dip at 11.5-12K rpm is the velocity stacks changing from long to short.

Did you investigate the "hole" near 12kRPM? Is throttle closing?

correct me if i am wrong but the s1000 engine is basically a hardened and built k5 gsxr engine. i know it was based off the gsxr design and they even payed suzuki for it

i would say wrong configurations on the bike or the dyno, it got real 200 hp you can see that on other tests.
