15 Tips and Tricks for Terraria 1.4! (Life Hacks 9)

Terraria 1.4 has added a lot of new content to Terraria for new players & old, so I wanted to give you guys some new tips and tricks but also bring up a couple Terraria life hacks that are still just as useful today!

A tip:

When buying vanity or pet items, you can try on the item and as long as you don’t close the NPC menu, you can sell the item at 100% value. You can also buy the pet item, spawn the pet, and then resell it. If you close the menu, then the sell price will go down.

Tip: Put bouncy slime blocks at the bottom of hellevators.

Not sure if you'll see this, but the "glitched wall" from the end of the video actually allows projectiles to pass through one way, not just players. Love your videos!

I've got another one:
While going through a cave without any light sources you can change your mini map to cover the whole screen in scale 1:1, which will allow you to see where you are going.

One tip for hellevators: if post moon lord, equip a portal gun, it makes gravity so strong, you can fall at 175 mph

A little side-tip:
While sitting on couches or chairs or sleeping you heart regen increases by a ton!

I think that for mages, a good life hack is wearing a gem robe in the cavern layer to attract tim. That way you can get a good damage boost early on from the set bonus. Also for mages, farming gems is much easier now with the addition of gem trees. I found one diamond in my playthrough and made a gem corn. Without too much trouble, I got a diamond staff and robe. These are my suggestions.

Edit: For those of you who dont know, Tim can only spawn in the lower cavern layer, where there is lava, but not the underworld.

Just add a block on the inside of the slopes. When they try to jump out they will hit the block and go back down again.

Sunflowers blocks graveyard biomes, if you have 5 tombstones, and put 5 sunflowers, you can break the tombstones without the ghosts attacking you

Another tip: When going down your Hellevator, use the Slime Mount. It greatly increases your fall speed.
