I'm 15 in the 10th grade taking early college so I'm in a collage campus, I plan on taking Sonography as my career.

Thanks. I'm turning 30, engaged and decided to switch careers. Switching from a career as a vet tech. I did basic sonography on animals and now I would like to switch to humans.

I just graduated as a surgical tech and I'm thinking about going back to school to be a sonographer. If I learned nothing else from becoming a surgical tech, it's to do your research before just jumping into a healthcare field. So, that's what I'm doing now and this really gave me some insight into this field. So thank you! I still have some more researching to do, but I'm thinking about going for it!

I have been a sonographer for over 21 years (RDMS, RVT). Everything that you said is spot on!! One con that you didn’t mention——->dreaded Call.

Thanks for the video. Not many Sonography videos out there. I’m a Cardiac sonographer ( been at it for 1.5 years) and started traveling ultrasound- currently at my first assignment 😊

Hey! Thank you for this video and the information. I am strongly considering becoming a Sonographer and this video I feel puts me on the right path. I will surely check out more videos. And one thing I didn’t know before watching your video is… the different variety of shifts I can choose from. That’s a great PRO!

To answer the whole "something I didn't know": & I hope this dosn't sound stupid, but I know all jobs have good and bad days, but I didn't know what a bad day in this field looked like. I have been researching thise field for a bit and have been wondering about that and how common experiences like that were in this field. I find it realy helpful that you emphasized what could go wrong on the job and what a person needs to 100% be emotionally ready for in this line of work.

I have been considering going into this field, but I have found over the years that I am slow to heal from something like an unforseen passing. I am guessing this isn’t the field for me, but I really appreciate your highlighting of the pros & cons. I have seen a few other videos, and your's the first to really go over what a bad day is like. So I know this sounds like a bit of a bummer takeaway, but thank you so much for how thorough your video has been. It has been super helpful.

Thank you!

I didn’t even know a travel sonogapher was a thing! I love travel, and I didn’t know these two could be combined. I’m pretty sure I want this for a career but I’m clueless as to how to start. Thank you for explaining your job!

Thank you so much for this video. I’m currently 16, a student in high school. I have no plan or interest in college, nor do I have a 100% idea of what I want to do.
My mom was telling me about being a ultrasound tech. I looked into it some more and I feel like it would be a perfect career for me to get into, especially since I only need that specific training for 1-2 years instead of going to college for a reason that I don’t even know what I want to do with.
I’m going to continue looking into this and find out as much as I can!

Starting school in a few month! I haven’t been able to figure out what I wanted to do until my most recent job. I job a job as a receptionist in a rehabilitation center! It really opened my eyes to what I could handle and not! I immediately knew I wanted to do sonography! Needed all the best wishes to get through school! I’m so excited for this future! Thank you for this video🤍

I’m caught between choosing Dental hygienist and Sonographer. As a female, I’m more comfortable to treat only female patients. Confused which path I should take

Thank you for your honesty, I want to work in ob/gyn, but I didn't think about the sad parts.

Looking into this career path after researching job options that pay well and don’t require an insane amount of schooling, and the traveling aspect is a huge bonus. There’s good programs in my current town and near the town I plan to move to out of state. Never had much direction career wise but I’m kinda motivated this time.
