I love ultrasound because I have the potential to learn something new everyday! I also love that I can see what others can't and many times, i'm the expert in the room.

Hey, I just want to thank you because i kinda fell in an academic slump during my first trimester of sono school, and your videos have helped me to get back on track and subsequently find / remind me of my interest for this field 💖.

I have the option entering 2 different sonography programs. One requires getting my bachelors in medical imaging for CT, MRI, and X-Ray before enrolling in a one year ultrasound program, which would take 3 years to complete in total. The other would allow me to go straight into ultrasound in a two year program. However, I would end up with only an associates degree. I really have no interest in the other specialties and have heard the pay difference of an associates and bachelors is not significant in the ultrasound field. In your opinion, is this true?

I still have a year of prerequisites to complete and am trying to decide which program to enter. I also want to move out of state after graduation and was wondering if going the bachelor’s route would make me more competitive because I would be certified in CT, MRI, and X-Ray as well as ultrasound. It is also only one additional year of school. That being said, I want to move out of my home state as soon as possible so if the bachelor’s route would not make a big difference in pay and job opportunities I’d rather go the associate degree route because it takes less time to complete.
