Dr Beth, what happens when one is wrongly and illegally detained! the social worker, who does not know u, gets it wrong. U have been assaulted, but u don't tell them in the hospital, yet u have already reported it. Yet the next day, instead of letting u recover, the social worker does as above. Also, records were mixed up with some1 else. It was such a crime against an innocent person. How does one address it?

In the States, Patients have the right: To refuse treatment, refuse medication, and can end treatment at anytime without consequences

Patients also have the right to be informed consent, which includes potential side effects, long term side effects, pros/cons, alternatives, etc.

Any psychiatrist or any medical worker who violates these rights needs to be reported immediately.
