Hypothesising with parents to help us talk about risk to children
Показать описание
Social Work Coffee Breaks are an opportunity for social workers to explore new ideas, learn practical skills, and connect with social workers from across the country.
In this session, Frontline Fellow Sam shares the research he completed at his local authority about creative ways to bring families in on the process of systemic hypothesising. He speaks about the difficulties he was having talking to parents about risks to their children, how he developed ‘shared hypothesising’ tools to use with parents, and what he learned about the impact of our own emotional experiences and histories as social workers on this process.
