I saw Tony play with King Crimson in 1980 at the Orpheum Theater in Boston Mass. I was mesmerized watching him play the Chapman Stick. What a lineup Adrian Belew, Bill Bruford and Fripp. My ears rang for days as I was in the 4th row. What a Great memory of seeing the best musicians in the business.

Peter Gabriel left a great band and for what? To go and create a whole new world of music centered around global sounds that enlivened and enraptured us beyond possible measure. The talent he gathered together were all world class in their own right. Tony, Youssou N'Dour, and on and on. Working with Robert Fripp and others he gave us a wealth of sounds and songs that is so fine to look back on. I'll never forget the drum beat in Solsbury Hill. Yes, that's in England but the sounds were from all the lands once part of the British Empire and some they had just visited but it was a global feast for the ears. Shalom
