Whenever I land a good punch or kick I am shocked and apologize or ask my partner if he's okay. Sometimes a sparring round can get more intense and then I dont really know if was going to hard or not. But my partners were always okay. Thanks for the tips, keep going!

It is kinda weird when people try to talk too much in sparring
Laughing or showing a smile is great and I do it or the occasional “nice” or “good one” but it can get weird if someone talks too much

The biggest thing that held me back when i used to train was definitely number 9 . I would always spar to win instead of to grow and it always ending up biting me in the ass i return i will definitely keep all of these great tips in mind thank you for this 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Only time we sweep is when we're working on it. In sparring if we catch or something that would lead to a sweep, we'll actuality say sweep ahs then reset. That way your opponent knows that they were in a position to get swept without the chance of injury.

Saenchai jokes and laughs with people whilst beating them up lol

On your first tip. Not everyone trains to fight, some do it just for a hobby they enjoy. That doesn't mean they should have to go thru pain

I’ve finally ranked up in my Muay Thai gym to spar I’m having my first intermediate class today and I’m so happy to see this

In my gym we go through with the sweep and have a good laugh bout it, so i was kinda surprised that people get mad over sweeps

in my first sparring I got hit in the eye and I couldn't open it.

I love how my partner was so worried cause he is well experienced and.. well.. it was my first time sparring lol

So much respect while training, I've never experienced that in any other sports I've trained ❤

Sparring is to learn. But I still see a lot of guys who just go all out throwing bombs like it's an actual fight.

As a martial artist this video is 1 of the best tips videos I've seen take note, example what I'm so guilty of is getting into a conversation with partners is I land a good hit then start talking about how good the shot was or vice versa, it just spoils the flow and that's not not how a real fight goes, talk after and stay busy

Thank you guys for pointing these things out. I'm humble enough to admit that I have violated some of these. I didn't mean anything behind my actions but I could only imagine how it potentially came off in the past. When this pandemic is over and I am back at my dojo, I'll keep these in the back of my head. Once again, thanks guys.

As someone new to Muay Thai these are really useful tips as I’ve found myself doing a couple of these mistakes without thinking, predominantly congratulating my sparring partner on a good shot. Thanks for helping me not be that guy anymore 😂

I’m relatively new to Muay Thai and I’ve opted out of sparring for now, I’m still learning the technique and I don’t have much control over how hard or soft I hit plus I didn’t know the etiquette, when I do eventually start sparring I will definitely revisit this video. Much appreciated Sean

One thing you cant really teach, is hiding pain. It's a learning process, Some people have a very good poker face, (especially pro fighters) years of experience getting cracked and being able to keep pushing forward, alot of people cant bottle up pain, much RESPECT to especially combat fighters who get a hard knee to the stomach or a kick to the liver and PRETEND like it didn't hurt, that takes some serious mind control. I dont see to many people who post videos talk about that, again probably because. Like I stated it's a learning process, not something you can teach and be able to do over night by watching videos. Keep up the good work Sean. 😎
