The Spirit of prophecy has no trouble quoting Titus 2:13 exactly as it reads in the KJV of the Bible.
This verse just as it reads in the KJV also comprehends, when understood correctly, other Scripture that speaks to the "glory" of the Father and the Son that will "appear" when we understand that the "glory" is referring to the Holy Spirit [Romans 8:11; Romans 6:4] Who is the spiritual presence of both the Father and the Son. Indeed in this way the Father will come with His Son at the second advent, still actively engaged, with His Son, in all the steps of the plan of salvation [including the experience of the cross] devised between them before creation.

Another point that confirms that the translation should be "the appearing of the glory of our great God" is in the immediate context. Paul compares God's glory and His grace. Verses 11 and 12 tell us the grace of God appeared so we can live godly lives and wait for the appearing of the glory of God. Grace appeared and glory shall appear. Hebrews 4:16 tells us to come to the throne of grace and Matthew 25:31 say Jesus will sit on His throne of glory when He returns.

This is supposed to be written this way..as we wait for that blessed hope in the glorious appearance of our Great God and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

The main context/ idea of this verse is.."The Great God (God the Father) and Savior, Jesus Christ will appear in glory", this is depicted in the book of revelation..Satan is confusing or deceiving us with the play of words or deceptive language or mistranslation. But if we already know the truth about the Father and his only begotten son (Jesus) as two distinct divine beings/ persons, this verse can not confuse us, because we know the truth about the true God, the Father and Jesus Christ, whom He sent

when Jesus Christ comes at second coming, He comes with the glory of His Father. The wicked die because of the brightness of His coming.

i got a question. what is the [name] of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, according to Matthew 28:19? and also what name did his disciples baptize in?

Matthew 28:19
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the [name] of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost

There are all sorts of problems here. For one, the very "evidence" put forth, is (ironically) evidence to the contrary. If in Titus 2:13, Paul wished to to distinguish between "our great God" and the "Savior Jesus Christ, " then why did he not use the same type of grammatical construction as he does elsewhere (i.e., Titus 1:4)?

Had Paul intended to distinguish "our great God" from the "Savior Jesus Christ, " all he would have needed to do was include an additional article (ὁ – substantive – καὶ – ὁ – substantive) for further clarification (i.e., "our great God and *the* Savior Jesus Christ"). Or Paul could have simply qualified Θεοῦ by including the words, "the Father." Or instead of referring to "Savior Jesus Christ, " Paul could have referred "the Lord Jesus Christ" (or "Jesus Christ our Lord") to remain consistent with other texts such as Titus 1:4. Instead, Paul uses an ὁ – substantive – καὶ – substantive type of construction, where it would only naturally refer to one person. Each time “Savior Jesus Christ” is used throughout the NT (all of which occur within the ὁ – substantive – καὶ – substantive construction) it unanimously signifies a mutual identity with the preceding (or “head”) noun.

The expression "God and Savior" was a stereotyped formula common in the first century, used by both Diaspora and Palestinian Jews when referring to YHWH. Had the name "Jesus Christ" not followed the expression, it would undoubtedly be taken to refer to one person; yet, "Jesus Christ" is simply added in epexegesis.

Further, what is stated in *the very next verse* (v. 14) supports a Trinitarian understanding of this text. What is stated in v. 14 (which refers to Jesus) corresponds with both epithets in v. 13. Verse 14 states, “who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.” The obvious reference here is to Christ who “gave Himself for us” on the cross of Calvary (which alludes to OT texts such as Psalm 130:8, where God is in view).  But equally as important is the second half of v. 14 -- also directly referring to Christ -- which alludes to OT texts such as Deuteronomy 7:6, 26:18, and Ex. 19:5 (cf. 1 Peter 2:9), where it is, again, God that is in view.

“TRINITY” is “DIVINITY” in ONE GODHEAD [GOD].
1 John 5:7 reads: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one.”
The word trinity comes from “tri” meaning three and “unity” meaning one.
Again, ... “and these three are one. 1 John 5:7.
The “TRINITY” is Biblical.

In the “SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH”, we worshipped the “HEAVENLY TRINITY OF GOD”.
1) Gen.1:1, 26
2) Deut.6:4
3) 1 John 5:7
4) Matthew 28:19
5) John 3:16
6) 2 Cor. 1:21, 22; 13:4
7) Eph. 4:4-6
8) 1 Peter 1:22
QUESTION: What are the names of the “false pantheon pagan god/deities that we worshipped in the “SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH?”
By the way, we do not believe “ANOTHER JESUS” (Cor.11:4)
was created or existed in any form than the form of God.
The TRINITY is “PERFECT UNITY”—not a collection of gods.
The gods constantly warring each other. That is pagan—the total “DISUNITY” of a collection of gods.

The 3 members [“TRINITY”] in ONE GODHEAD.
1 John 5:7, reads, ...”the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one.”
From the Webster’s Dictionary 1828 defines the GODHEAD:

1. Godship; deity; divinity; divine nature or essence; applied to the true God, and to the heathen deities.
2. A deity in person; a god or goddess.
Ellen G. White states:
“The Godhead—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—were working in behalf of man. Every power in the heavenly universe was put into activity to carry forward the plan of redemption.” {Ms47-1901.6}
The “TRINITY” in ONE GODHEAD is Biblical.

There is TRINITY of God, [1John 5:7] a TRINITY of holiness and godliness and purity, so there is a TRINITY of darkness and evil. [Revelation 16:13-14] Satan is distinguished and gifted counterfeiter, and he counterfeits the kingdom of God. Satan is Anti-God.

Imagine a judgment balance of justice ⚖

If God is true on one side ther's a STATEMENT and on the other side there's the EVIDENCE.

Now imagine Jesus in the center holding the balance.
On one side there's the Holy God and on the other side there's the Holy nation of Jacob.

This is why the true GOD is describing himself in Exodus 3:15 using the name "God

Abraham....caled out (Holy)
Isaac....promised son (Prince of peace)
out nation (Holy nation)

How can Jacob have peace with Abraham by denying Isaac???

How can anyone have peace with king David by denying king Solomon???

Jesus is the promised son, the prince of peace the TRUTH manifested in the flesh and the physical EVIDENCE.

The 4 angels are holding this balance of JUSTICE.

To: Seventh-day Adventists,

Read the “Spirit of Prophecy” on how Ellen G. White uses the words three, trio and threefold.
Applies the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. [The ETERNAL GOD]
The 3 words relates the word “TRINITY”.
“Three” is a cardinal number.
“Trio” is set of three members/individuals.
“Threefold” comes from Latin trinus; Latin “TRINITAS”.
That is how the word “TRINITY” came about.
We just have have to do a English word study. It is up to us to decide.
Read Matthew 28:19.
The keyword article “the” mentions three times— made up the 3 separate individuals.
The keyword “name” is singular not plural.
1 John 5:7 reads, ...”the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one.” [UNITED]
Even though any of you disagree the “TRINITY” doctrine— you mentioned about the “TRINITY” truth anyway.
And we are Seventh-day Adventists.
The “TRINITY” is Biblical.

From Wikipedia:
The Christian doctrine of the Trinity (Latin: Trinitas, lit. “triad” from Latin: trinus “threefold”)
(Greek Trias)

Greek “TRIA” (three) in 1 John 5:7 reads, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: these three are one.”
The word trinity comes from “tri meaning three and “unity” meaning one.
Notice how Ellen G. White uses the keyword “threefold” in Latin: trinus=Trinitas related to the word “TRINITY”. She states:
“Those who are baptized in the threefold name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, at the very entrance...” —The Faith I Lived By, p. 145.4.
The 3 members [“TRINITY”] in the Godhead [ONE GOD] worked together on the Plan of Redemption.
Ellen G.White states:
(1) “The Godhead—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit— were working in behalf of man. Every power in the heavenly universe was put into activity to carry forward the plan of redemption.” {Ms47-1901.6}
(2) “The three representative powers of the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit were pledged to carry out the lost race. Thus fully did the Lord engage the heavenly universe in the work of redemption. How few understand and appreciate this infinite sacrifice!” {Ms139-1907.10}
Again, ...” the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost: these three are one” ... 1 John 5:7.
The “TRINITY” in ONE GODHEAD is Biblical.

Obviously he doesn't know Greek grammar. Two nouns connected by the Greek conjunction KAI and the first noun has a definite article, this means the first and second noun are the same person. This man is a teacher?

Jesus is not the only true God. Jesus prayed to and worshiped the only true God. (John 17 :3). In scripture, Jesus has a God. The dying |Jesus called out to him. The resurrected Jesus statwed that he was ascending to his God.)John 20:17) The glorified Jesus in heaven talks about his God four times in one verse. (3 :12). What more proof do you need? Listen to Jesus himself. Listen to scripture.

“JESUS” himself was the “JEHOVAH SUPREME GOD” of the Old Testament.
He was raised from the dead.
Here are the 2 Bible texts to “prove all things” that “JESUS” was the “JEHOVAH SUPREME GOD.”
It reads,
1) “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” Isaiah 44:6
Compare:
2) “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
I am he that liveth and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys and hell and of death. “Revelation 1:13, 14
When is the last time the Father Jehovah God died?
The “TRINITY” is Biblical.
