Homeschool: Reasons, Routine, Materials (Part 1)

I am always asked about homeschool so I decided to vlog some of our reasons, routine, and the materials that prove to be beneficial for our learning. We are currently in Kindergarten (we just finished!), and it’s just our first year so we don’t really know much yet. However, we really enjoy it and perhaps you can find one or two things useful in this three-part-series, especially now that we are sort of forced to do school at home because of the pandemic. (I shot this vlog in February pa, way before the world has changed because of the pandemic. This is why I do not mention covid at all in the video. Just in case you were wondering why I might be a little clueless or tone deaf in some parts.) Hope this helps!!!

Yes the cost can be relative. We moved to Canada so education is Free but if they go to trad school we need to account clothes (esp Winter clothes), baon, extracurricular fees & donation. With homeschooling we get reimbursed about $900 per student so that’s $2700 for my 3 children. We can buy printer, ink / toner, laptop, binoculars, STEM kits, Lego, and books. We have been homeschooling for 5 yrs.

I salute you for doing this! 😊 I agree with all your reasons! I have the same reasons. I am thankful we have options these days. I would have wanted to be homeschooled too! Kaya alam ko pwedeng sa mga anak ko na lang gawin. My 3 kids are much closer and healthier — they don’t get sick.

This video has encouraged and gave me the confident to continue homeschooling my daughter. Its true that as you homeschool your child you get to know yourself better and figure out what your capable of. It’s a blessing to grow with my daughter in knowledge, understanding, and wisdom as I homeschool her.

Homeschooling is pretty hard specially if you are not used to teach, but I think God made mothers to be so flexible that we can do certain things when needed 🙂😊
