Fujifilm X-T30 | First Look

Photographer David Flores checks out the new Fujifilm X-T30, a concentrated version the the popular X-T3. With features like an interactive touchscreen, a simple menu system, and access to digital versions of Fuji’s well-known and highly regarded film stocks, the X-T30 is truly a powerful camera in a small form factor.

2:53 The XF 35mm (53mm) f/2 R WR is an outstanding lens but if you're getting a X-T30 which isn't weather resistant think about getting the XC 35mm f/2 for half the price. The XC lens has the exact same optics but is housed in a plastic body, isn't weather sealed and doesn't have an aperture ring (aperture is controlled from the front or rear command dial). It's Fujifilm's answer to Canon's "nifty fifty" lens. If I could only have two lenses on a X-T30 they'd be the XF 18-55mm (27-84mm) f/2.8-4 R LM OIS and the XC 35mm f/2 because they're both very versatile, low cost, physically small and take a great image.

I watched a bunch of x-T30 videos, but this review was so spot on of why I'm going to get one. David, you should do a Fujifilm youtube channel.

Cool camera, looking forward to it coming to Scandinavian. I will post a review on my channel as soon as I get my hands on one. This year will be great for creative professionals with some many cameras dropping left and right.

Even though it's not FF you like the xt30 and xt3 over the Sony a7iii and the nikon z6? These are the 3 I'm considering buying.

What main reasons do you see to prefer x-t3 over x-t30?
Better grip, 2 sd cards, weather sealing, some more top/function dials, bigger viewfinder, better video...?
For traveling size of x-t30 seems awesome.
But isnt it too small for bigger lenses?

Does B&H expect there to be available a metal hand grip for the X-T30 to aid in gripping the camera for people with larger hands, or know whether the current metal hand grip for the X-T20 will fit the X-T30?
