I had the privilege to work with this machine in the testing and prototype phase. As one of the first barbers to test the finished product i would like to share with you my thoughts concerns and recommendations. The Instinct Clipper has a vector motor and its one of the first of its kind and it really does impact how the haircut turns out.

Hey, I've been a barber for 36 years and was always loyal to my Andis Master corded and my Oster 76. When the cordless clippers came out I went for the Master cordless and the Oster Octane. At the time I loved the Master cordless cause that's what I was used to. I started to watch videos on the new types of cordless clippers out there and how the fades, debulking and ease of use. I came across the Style Craft clippers and thought A lot of barbers were raving about them. So I gave them a shot, buying the Style Craft Mythic. At first feel it was real heavy but cut great. The only problems I had with the Mythic clipper was the weight which wasn't bad at all but heavier than I was use. Second, I'm left handed and the lever was all up in my finger so I had to change my cutting style a little which wasn't to bad. Then the Instinct came out and I saw how small it is and how light it is. The vector motor power would be perfect for me because I work real fast and my master never could keep up. Needless to say, I really love the StyleCraft Instinct clipper and Trimmer wishing l would have found out about this brand years ago. My fades are crisper and enjoyable to do now. As a matter of fact I barely use my Oster to debulk, I just use my Instinct for everything.
If I can talk to the designers at StyleCraft, I would Suggest having them make an ambidextrous lever for us lefties. It would make this clipper unbeatable. I have no issues with battery life cause I put it on the charger after each use. It does get a little warm in the hand but nothing I'm not use to. My clients can notice a big difference on the smoothness and feel of the Instinct which is important to me. I won't go back to Andis any more they are way behind in tech and design. I feel that StyleCraft has barbers as their clipper designers cause it would be how I would design them.
Thanks for your channel it helped me decide on my purchase.

I have all the good adjustable clippers on the market. This by far is the best adjustable clipper I have ever used. It has detachable blade power. Every other clipper that I pick up, Feels like junk compared to this clipper. Unbelievable product!!!💪🏻💪🏻💈💈great content as always Eddie.

Technically speaking this is a great clipper. That being said after a few weeks of use I don’t really like it. It’s incredibly powerful and it might just be its biggest down fall. The blade gets so hot so fast and the machine is so small and light it feels like it’s going to vibrate out of your hand. I’m also don’t like the balance since all the weight is towards the front. Battery life is okay but not 4 hours but with the dock it doesn’t really matter. It’s a great machine but not for me unfortunately. I completely understand the hype around it though and wouldn’t disagree with anyone who says it’s the best.

Def the smoothest most powerful clipper. However mine has a battery issue. Thankfully Stylecraft has been quick to respond and help

I e had mine for about a month and I do t get 4 hours battery life. I’ve let it completely die twice and recharged hoping that it would have a longer life the next charge. I’m getting about 2-2.5 hours on this. Have your or anyone else here felt with this issue? Outside of that this clippers are what is up.

I was told the new stretch bracket comes with extra holes so you can switch to an Andis master blade without buying an extra bracket from philthy blendz. I mean it makes more sense now that it seems it's a collaboration

The only reason I think detachables still have an edge, is how the teeth pick up all the hairs better. There needs to be a better attachment guard system that can help improve this. Maybe make full metal attachments with more teeth to pick up more hair?
I love my instincts, but I feel if this one issue can be resolved, detachables will be a thing of the past.

I have a problem with the battery. Life doesn't last more than an hour. After two client starts a blinking and after half an hour the battery goes flat

You’ve never read in the booklet that you must empty the battery and charge 2 times before the battery is “broken in” for lack of a better term.

Good job 👏 . Btw i switched the gold faper titatium blade for the black faper blade now my instinct doesn't get hot like it use to 🔥

The instinct clipper is dope. Only flaw so far the usb port already came off the clipper so i cant charge it with an android charger anymore. I really found it helpful when your using it all day to use the android charger like a cord. No idea on how to fix that. Besides that i use the clipper daily. I did end up having to swap out the cutter for the deep tooth cutter, I feel like it gives it more of a crunch and fades better then using the original cutter it comes with.

Generally, the battery requires 3x full charge to discharge cycles before they finally hold a full charge… this dynamic applies to all modern lithium battery clippers/trimmers

Great info on the vector. I don’t have them what I am doing is building my own vector buying the motor and a battery and putting them on my magic clip its 23$ for the vector motor and 11 dollars for the battery and then I’ll have that power a cordless clipper should have been like in the beginning. Thanks again for your input on the vector and yes it is going to be the new wave of the cordless clippers. I have a buddy who did that modification and bragging about basically having paid 35 $ to have the power of the vector machine cause he couldn’t afford the prepaid at that time and says I will love my magic clip upgrade 😅 I believe I will .
