So sharing isn't really sharing. It's no different than just giving your friends the ability to build in your territory. They can't build it themselves? That needs to be changed.

This really doesnt feel like sharing. Friends not being able to place items shared themselves is so bizarre. Especially because it seems they made things more expensive because of it.

idk if anyone has mentioned it or not but if your friend is with you, you can place the stuff and they can move it where they want IF its a structure not a skin.

So just to clarify, if a friend and my hive leader (same person) chooses to share a print, will I be able to use it on my items, like walls and floors? They can already place stuff down for me and have already done so with paint, so I'm not sure what the purpose is of sharing otherwise if I can't.

this has nothing to do with sharing like i dont need that option button if it doesnt work it states u can share with 4 friends... how is that sharing if in the end u will be the only one able to build with it

Im sure youve theory crafted and tested but - did you try to share the skin, go build a glass wall at friends base, and then have friend try to copy piece from the build menu?

I am wondering what happens if friend then goes and destroys say the chair. DO they get the skin, or just the normal materials for the chair?

And I think they have it set where whoever owns the skin/set has to build, because they want everyone to actually buy it. If you could share with a friend and them apply it as they wanted, then said friend would no longer have reason to buy it themselves. So... tis how the corporate world thinks unfortunately.
