Skipping the Elite Four - Elite Four door glitch methods (Diamond/Pearl JP)

The Surf glitch in Generation IV (also known as the Elite Four door glitch) is a glitch in (at least some) Japanese versions of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl in which players can use Surf or fish on the southern-most doors of Aaron, Bertha, Flint and Lucian's Elite Four rooms to go through them and enter the black space surrounding the rooms known as the "void". It was patched in the English versions.

In this video we show a method of skipping all or part of the Elite Four battles by:

1) Using Surf on the southern-most door in Aaron's room, moving around in the void, and then saving and resetting to access the Hall of Fame script.
...or
2) Using Surf on the southern-most door in Lucian's room, moving around in the void and accessing the Hall of Fame script, without having to save the game and reset.

Steps:
Thanks to minorinkomorin in their Diamond/Pearl glitch compilation video;

Aaron's room method:
1) Surf through the southern-most door of Elite Four Aaron's room to explore the void.

From here you can clear the step counter on the Pedometer Pokétch application for each step to keep track of how many steps you have taken.
2) Head up a number of steps from the (I chose 64 as in Nintendo 64 ^_^) from the northern-most door, save the game and reset. You should pass a "Floaroma Meadow" map on the way and hear doors click.

You will activate Professor Rowan and Cynthia's texts in the corridor before the Hall of Fame and then enter the Hall of Fame room.

Lucian's room method:
1) Surf through the southern-most door of Elite Four Lucian's room to explore the void.

From here you can clear the step counter on the Pedometer Pokétch application for each step to keep track of how many steps you have taken.
2) Head up a number of steps (I chose 64 as in Nintendo 64 ^_^) from the north door, save the game and reset. You should pass a "Floaroma Meadow" map on the way and hear doors click.

Background:

Entering the void or a Mystery Zone is one of the applications in both Japanese and English versions of Diamond and Pearl known as the Tweaking glitch (tweakingバグ, I sadly do not know if there is a more common name for it in Japan).

The Elite Four door glitch, as well as the Union Room glitch (or "broken escalator glitch") were used early after Pokémon Diamond and Pearl were released in Japan to access areas in unintended ways.

Using the Elite Four door glitch, Darkrai and Shaymin can be found at Flower Paradise and Newmoon Island respectively without having to get the Oak's Letter and the Member Card event items. There is no known way of finding Arceus with Tweaking or any void glitch in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and it is believed you need to activate the script for the event.

Tweaking reappears in Platinum and HeartGold/SoulSilver and can be used to change areas of the map or remove Snorlax, but entering the void or Mystery Zone there is said to be impossible(??).

I don't understand how the void works, how come when im in the void I always pass by stuff like floroma meadow, and then turback cave and then jubilife city and then underground and it tends to constantly cycle through all that. I understand that a you can access the interior maps here but do you have any ideas why the layout is so weird? I thought all maps were stitched together in sections that were loaded in sections. Maybe you know how the void works better?
