Anthony Albanese responds to accusation he lied at violence against women rally

At the No More rally in Canberra on Sunday, Australian prime minister Anthony Albanese claimed that he and the minister for women, Katy Gallagher, asked to speak at the rally but had been told it wasn’t possible.

Albanese later appeared on national television saying he was 'focused on the issue' of violence against women and brushed off the claim that he lied about being asked not to speak, blaming it on an 'emotional' day and issue
