My belief is this, luffy is a lot like shanks and if luffy sensed this guy then so did shanks and if shanks left him slone theres probably a reason. I think it was shanks who took loki down n loki will side with kidd

I’m not sure how bulletproof this is but if you really think about it, there were two other characters Luffy met for the first time that were chained up for a certain crime and I believe that was
Zoro and Jinbei and they’re now his two strongest and probably most loyal crewmembers, so it wouldn’t not surprise me if Loki wound up being the good guy in this arc, but I would definitely prefer him to be a villain, Whether he’s good or evil, Loki is probably going to be everyone’s favorite character.

It seems that luffy somehow is attracted by loki presence that lead him to go and find him right away since luffy voice of all thing let him know a person's true nature, personality and desperation. That's why it's hard for evil person to manipulate luffy, if the person is evil luffy will show no interest in them just like caribou, and he know that Bellamy has changed, he even cheering for him and call him his friend.

Unpopular theory: he didn’t kill his father, he was framed (refer the sabo killing cobra framing) and his father made him promise to take his devil fruit and liberate elbaf, but his own people turnt against him and tied him up because they’re unable to kill him (probably tougher defense than Kaido). Probably gonna have a whole backstory about it during elbaf arc.

Also, Norse lore Loki was never “evil” he was manipulative. And ended up fathering jormungandr and fenrir and hel but 🫥
