Gamers Nexus made a video calling out Linus Tech Tips for a number of errors they have recently made in their videos. They also mention a story where Linus Tech Tips does not review a product correctly, and it could have a very bad outcome for a smaller tech company. All valid points.

In this video we try to answer the question are YouTube Tech channels, or any big channel, getting too big for YouTube? We try and discover what made YouTube so good when it started, and why these massive Tech (or any type of channel) are causing challenges for YouTube now, and could actually be bad for YouTube.

Linas is a person that has to grow on you, the other reason his knowledge on computers, systems, is above and beyond. That is why I watch him, Not a windows person which is his videos is about.

It becomes really a problem when narratives try to dominate faithful observations. It is even a bigger problem when people do not understand a blurry line between genuine advertising and just narrative building.

In my opinion, the simplest yet most difficult job on this planet is to mind our own business. That really transformed social media into something that we should really THINK upon.

There are too many channels that are just "content farms". And I'm afraid that LTT is just one of them.

Thanks for sharing your point of view. I'm subscribed to several YouTubers but all of them all are the little channels who really need the subs, likes, and comments for their algorithms (like you 🙂).

I take big channels with a grain of salt or 4. This is because I Want real opinions and real experiences, especially with tech stuff. You tube for me is still information caching and entertainment. I don't watch big famous folks' channels. Didn't even know who mr beast was until a sociology and critique channel did a thing mentioning him. I watch a lot of niche things. I know most people are not like me.
One way I avoid what I think of as corporate pushing, is to do my search from different areas using my vpn and narrow the results down to being from the day or week. Small channels come up way more than not. After listening to a few, one gets a good idea of what the person knows and has their interests and experiences leaning towards.

well done, for me there are 4 or 5 tech users i follow for exact same reason, disgustingly dishonest ppl full of ads and lies, you are one that does honest and on point, zollotech is another, mr.whosetheboss is another, apple explained is another for tech that is all, rest is random channels,

Linus went from hero to zero pretty quickly. His ego is growing faster than his bank account, he is being misleading his viewers for a while, just to make an extra buck 🤷‍♂️
